Per-Olof Serenius

Per- Olof " Posa " Serenius (* 1948 in Gävle) is a Swedish ice speedway rider. He was 1991 and 1995 Individual World Champion and 1985 and 1995 World Team Champion with Sweden. In the 2009/10 season he will again take part in the international World Cup race.

1972 Serenius began his career as a sidecar driver, but then moved on to Ice Speedway Enduro and 1976. There he quickly established himself and was completed in 1978 the final round, where he was only 13, but after a fall. In 1982 he became world champion in single Inzell, where he also was with Sweden team world champion in 1985. After each vice world champion in 1991 and 1994, he won at the age of 41 years, the Double, by becoming individual and team world champion.

" Posa " Serenius Ice Speedway operates as an amateur and works full time as a firefighter in his native Gävle. He likes to Harley -Davidson and mountain biking. Bengt Löfgren are with the documentary " Icy Rider " (2008) an insight into the long professional career of " Posa ".
