Percival Willoughby

Sir Percival Willoughby († August 23, 1643 ) was a British politician and landowner,

Percival Willoughby came of an old British aristocratic family, which came prosperity in the 13th century on land and resulting. Percival married Bridget Willoughby, a third cousin and the daughter of Sir Francis Willoughby, the builder of Wollaton Hall. In April 1603 he was defeated by King James I. knighted in the same year a member of its first parliament.

Percival Willoughby invested in the London and Bristol Company, one of the first commercial enterprises between the Kingdom and the new world overseas. His daughter Elizabeth married in 1609 John Gell.
