Père Lachaise (Paris Métro)

Père Lachaise is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located on the border of the 11th and 20th arrondissement of Paris. The station is served by the metro line 2 and line 3 of the metro. The station of Line 2 is below the Boulevard de Ménilmontant that the line 3 under the Avenue de la République. In the immediate vicinity is the same Père Lachaise Cemetery

The station was taken on February 25, 1903 opening of the line 2 in operation. This time on the wrong section Anvers - Bagnolet (now Alexandre Dumas ). On 19 October 1904, the station was opened on the line 3.
