The 11th arrondissement of Paris, the Arrondissement de Arrondissement, is one of Paris' 20 arrondissements.
Geographical location
The 11th arrondissement is located on the right bank of the Seine. It is bordered on the east by the 20th, in the west on the 10th and 3rd, in the north on the 19th and on the south by the 12th arrondissement.

Demographics
According to the census of 1999 149.102 inhabitants were reported in 367 acres of the 11th arrondissement, which are 6.8% of the population of Paris. This gives a population density of 40,627 inhabitants per km ². This makes it the most densely populated district of Paris and one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

Mayor
Was mayor from 1995 to 2008 Georges Sarre, a member of the leftist party Mouvement citoyen et républicain, since it is Patrick Bloche of the Parti Socialiste.
