Permanent Representative

As Permanent Representation ( StäV ) refers to institutions that fulfill the functions of a message, if the establishment of a "real" message is not possible. This is the case when the Permanent Representation

• Located in a country that is not officially recognized by the state, which maintains the Permanent Representation, or
• Their message function does not exercise in a sovereign state, but in an international organization.

International organizations

Germany

Curiosities

In the history of the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic in East Berlin today still plays the name of the pub " Permanent Representation " in Berlin -Mitte (near Friedrichstrasse station ) that since the relocation of the German government from Bonn to Berlin ( → capital decision ) understood as a representation of the Rhenish culture.
