Perry Berezan

Perry E. Berezan ( born December 5, 1964 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Calgary Flames, Minnesota North Stars and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career

After Berezan had brought his highly successful junior time in the Alberta Junior Hockey League behind him, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1983 in the third round to 55th place by the Calgary Flames. The following two seasons 1983/84 and 1984/85 played Berezan then at the University of North Dakota in the National Collegiate Athletic Association before it was first used at the end of the second season of the Flames in the NHL. The Canadian left it with five points in nine games a lasting impression and established itself over the next four years playing in the main squad of the team.

In March 1989, the Flames transferred the center together with Shane Churla to the Minnesota North Stars, which they sent to Calgary in exchange for Brian MacLellan and a fourth- round pick in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989, Robert Reichel was drawn with the later.
