Peter Cincotti

Peter Cincotti ( born July 11, 1983 in New York) is an American songwriter, singer and pianist.

Biography

At the age of four years Cincotti received his first piano lessons. At the age of seven, he was discovered by Harry Connick, Jr. during a show in Atlantic City. During his high school time in the Horace Mann School in Riverdale and in the Columbia College in New York City, he regularly performed in the jazz clubs of Manhattan. At the Montreux Jazz Festival, he won a prize for his interpretation of Dizzy Gillespie title A Night in Tunisia in 2000. In 2002, he won first place on the Billboard jazz charts as the youngest solo artist. Cincotti had a small supporting role in the film Beyond the Sea - Music was his life of Kevin Spacey. In addition, he was involved in the soundtrack. He had another film role in Spider- Man 2 as a pianist at the Planetarium. For Daniel Radcliffe movie December Boys 2007 he sang the title song. With his fourth album East of Angel Town and the decoupled single Goodbye Philadelphia Peter Cincotti was announced in November 2007 also in Central Europe.

In May 2012, the fifth album Metropolis appeared. In 2012, he presented with his sister Pia Cincotti the Musical How Deep Is The Ocean. Cincotti has been heard in recent years with other musicians, such as Renee Olstead and Simona Molinari.
