Peter Rohwein
Peter Rohwein ( born June 26, 1962 in Isny ) is a former German ski jumper. From October 2004 to March 2008 he was national coach of the DSV ski jumper.

Career
Playing career
As an active athlete Rohwein initially started in the Nordic combined, but was then placed in the ski jumping team. As a ski jumper he took part in multiple World Cup and Olympic competitions. In 1981 he won the German Junior Championships in Neustadt. In 1984 he became German champion in the 90-meter ski jump in Ruhpolding. From 1980 to 1988 he was a participant in the Four Hills Tournament. His best World Cup finishes were two sixth places in Chamonix (1985) and Engelberg ( 1982). With the 1988 Winter Games, he finished his career as an active athlete. In the same year he was appointed by Ewald Roscher in his coaching staff.
Coaching career
From 2000 to 2003/2004 he worked as jump coach the German national team in the Nordic combined. He led her to the world class again and celebrated many successes with the team. In October 2004, he released Wolfgang Steiert from as national coach of the DSV ski jumper. For the season 2008/2009 he was replaced by Werner Schuster.

Peter Rohwein is a trained dental technicians and graduate trainers. He is married and has a son.
