Peter Schmalfuss
Peter Schmalfufi ( born January 13, 1937 in Berlin, † October 23, 2008 in Darmstadt ) was a German pianist. He studied with Walter Gieseking, Adrian Aeschbacher and Wilhelm Kempff. From 1960, he began touring through Europe, North Africa and Asia. His recordings include a complete cycle of Beethoven sonatas, and especially the works of Chopin. He was 35 years professor at the Academy of Music (Darmstadt) and a member of the Chopin Society in Warsaw.
