Peter Stringer

Peter Alexander Stringer ( born December 13, 1977 in Cork) is an Irish rugby union player who is used to the position of scrum Halbs. He plays for the Irish national team and the English Premiership club Bath Rugby. Peter Stringer is 1,70 m tall and weighs 72 kg.

Life and career

Peter Stringer attended school and university in Cork, Ireland, where he met Ronan O'Gara. Since 1998, he played for the Irish province of Munster team and in February 2000 he made his debut for the Irish national team against Scotland in the Six Nations tournament.

With Munster Peter Stringer also won the Heineken Cup twice, in 2006 against Biarritz Olympique and 2008 against Toulouse. In both finals Peter Stringer was a key player of his team in the final against Biarritz He even managed the match-winning try.

2009 succeeded Peter Stringer a Grand Slam victory with the national deer in Six Nations tournament. Here he won for the third time with Ireland the Triple Crown after 2006 and 2007.
