Peter Sykora (footballer)

Peter Sykora ( born October 9, 1946 in Wismar ) is a former German football player.

Up to the age of 18 Sykora played in Wismar, where he worked for the TSG Wismar ten times came in the second-rate DDR League 1965 used. His biggest success probably Sykora along with his teammates Wismar Klaus- Peter Stein, 1965 at the UEFA youth tournament in Germany. In the final, England was defeated 3-2. Between 1964 and 1965 he completed eight matches with the East German junior national team, and later came to 1969 for 15 countries games with the junior national team added.

1965 Sykora has been delegated to the football focus of the region, the SC Empor Rostock. There he played on Matchday 7 of the premier league 1965/66 season on November 3, in the first encounter FC Lok Leipzig - Empor ( 0:4 ) as a central defender his first league game. Shortly thereafter, the football section of the SC Empor in the FC was Hansa Rostock converted. This season he was used in a total of twelve league games. In the following season he came on 15 point games in the league and also on April 30, 1967 at the final of the East German soccer cup, the Hansa however lost 0-3 to Motor Zwickau. After he had been employed in the 1967/68 season only four times in the league and the rest of the time had to play in the second-rate team of Hansa II, Sykora moved to the end of the season 1 FC Magdeburg.

In his first year at the FCM Sykora played 16 league games and was on June 1, 1969 again in the Cup final that his team won 4-0 over FC Karl- Marx-Stadt. 1969/70 he was charged with 23 league games point to the root of the Magdeburg player, but he left the FCM end of the season back towards Hansa Rostock. Here he was employed next three league games again almost exclusively in the second team, where he completed 1970/71 18 DDR -Liga games. After a 18-month military service, which he spent in the Army community forward pearl mountain in the third-class district league Schwerin, Sykora came only in the 1973/74 season with 13 games in the league right to the course. He then belonged to the permanent staff of the Hanseatic League, but had to because of the Downs in 1975 and again in 1977 to spend two seasons in the DDR -Liga.

At the end of his career from 1979 Sykora played five years for the BSG navigation and port of Rostock in East Germany League. Later Sykora coach at the Schwaaner concord in the district Class Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
