Peter V. Brett

Peter V. Brett ( born February 8, 1973 in New Rochelle, New York, United States) is an American author of fantasy novels.

Brett studied English literature and art history. After that, he worked for ten years as a lecturer in medical literature before devoting himself exclusively to writing novels.

His debut The Song of Darkness (English original The Painted Man) was positively received by critics and readers worldwide (eg). In 2010, the sequel was published, the whisper of the night and The Grand Bazaar (for additional book for the first part).

Today Brett lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.

Paul WS Anderson (director) and Jeremy Bolt (producer), which together account already for the Resident Evil films have, in the meantime secured the rights for a film adaptation of the first book and want to bring the result of 2012 in the cinemas.
