Peter van Wees

Peter van Wees ( born June 13, 1973 in Sittard ) is a Dutch Skeleton driver.

Peter van Wees lives in Groningen and since 1998 Skeleton driver. The student is trained by Johann Luxembourg, before Tim Nardiello. Van Wees debuted in January 2000 as 49th in the Skeleton World Cup in Lillehammer. In his first skeleton World Cup 2000 in Igls, he was 35 in January 2001, he was the first time Dutch champion. In the following years, the Dutch placed mainly on middle and lower ranks, apart from winning the 2002 World Championships start-up in Groningen. In 2003 he was again by Dutch masters. The qualification for the Olympic Games 2006 in Turin, he missed, but he took part as a supervisor of the Lebanese Patrick Antaki. His best result in the World Cup reached van Wees in December 2006 as the eleventh in Lake Placid. In January 2007, he was also behind the meantime the German squad in the Netherlands exchanged Dirk Matschenz second.
