The place was up to the annexation on 1 July 2009 in the city of Sander -Brehna an independent municipality.

Coat of arms

Blazon: "In gold, a green frog. "

The coat of arms of the frog image is based on a used by the community Petersroda icon representing a frog and already in GDR times became widespread. There is a legend that in Petersroda lived a child that looked like a frog and moved that way. Also, there was a frog fountain in place.
