Glebitzsch is a district of the city Sander -Brehna in the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony- Anhalt.

The place was up for annexation into the city Sander -Brehna on 1 July 2009 an independent municipality, which included the districts Köckern and Beyersdorf. Last Mayor of Glebitzsch was Arno Krassowski.

Until around 1980 Glebitzsch had another district: Juliushof. This was first documented in 1844. The town was founded in 1982 due to its proximity to the transit route between the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin, now the A9, entsiedelt. The last residents moved to Beyersdorf. Subsequently, the buildings and the roads were spoiled.

Coat of arms

Blazon: " From left diagonally divided blue and silver, the pitch occupied by a Splayed in confused colors bar; above two golden ears of corn on the stalk with leaves, below the tunnel downward introspective, both constructed after the division of Blue Horseshoe with square nail holes. "

Glebitzsch and its districts Beyersdorf and Köckern are obviously Slavic ups. They were for centuries small villages whose inhabitants are mainly fed in addition to occasional craft of agriculture. For this reason, the two ears and the shoe have been chosen as the heraldic symbols. The two ears can also be a reference to the connected above locations while the horseshoe indicates a round village in its geometry on the original investment of the municipality.

The coat of arms was designed in 2005 by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch and admitted to the approval process.
