Petr Gabriel

Petr Gabriel [ pɛtr̩ gabriɛl ] ( born May 17, 1973 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player.

Career

Gabriel played in the youth in his hometown at TJ Praga and Sparta Prague, before moving between various Czech teams. In 1996 he returned to record champions Sparta Prague and has been with the club four times in a row, national champion and also twice won the National Cup. During this time he was also the Czech national team and played a total of 10 caps for the national team.

2000 went the defender abroad and joined the German Bundesliga 1 FC Kaiserslautern. Set back by injuries, he was never able to establish himself there and came in two and a half years only seven league games, which is why he was hired in early 2003 to FK Teplice in his home.

Since the 2003/ 04 season, Petr Gabriel plays for Arminia Bielefeld. There he got after one year on 2nd Bundesliga and since part of the Erstligakader of Westphalia. Matchday On the 2006/2007 season he scored his first Bundesliga goal in Bielefeld 1-2 defeat in Bochum.

For the season 2008/ 09 Gabriel moved to his former club Viktoria Zizkov. After the descent of the club, he finished his career in June 2009.
