Description

Unlike the Eiffel Tower, the Petrin lookout tower has no square, but through an octagonal cross -section, and also is not like his Parisian model on four steel truss columns. Its construction is more similar to the observation tower on the Götzinger height at Neustadt in Sachsen than that of the Eiffel Tower. In contrast to the Eiffel Tower and the lookout tower on the Götzinger amount of space between the foundations is filled by the entrance hall. One similarity with the Eiffel Tower is the execution of the lowest cross-connections as arches.

The steel structure weighs 175 tons.
