Petrolacosaurus was a genus of Araeoscelidia, a lizard-like family, who were probably the most original diapsiden reptiles. Only species described is Petrolacosaurus kansensis. Fossils of Petrolacosaurus were first found in the 1930s in Kansas, USA.

Features
