Petroleros de Ciudad Madero

The Club de Fútbol Ciudad Madero - or short CF Madero - was a Mexican football club based in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas state, which was created in 1964 as a legal successor of the company founded on January 29, 1956 Club Refineria Madero. This association was in the early 1960s repeatedly División before promotion to the Primera, but was always failed in his rise efforts.

The new club was formed to participate in the beginning of 1964 at a initiated by the Mexican Football Federation special tournament. The goal was, the number of first division teams from the next season to raise from 14 to 16. However, the CF Madero could not prevail, and remained in the second division.
