Petrykivsky Painting

The Petrykiwka Painting (Ukrainian Петриківський розпис ) is an original style of decorative painting in the Ukraine and is as intangible heritage listed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since December 5, 2013.

The Ukrainian, folk Petrykiwka painting is rich in symbolism and is evidence of a careful observation of the local flora and fauna.

Named after the style of painting is the center of folk art, the Ukrainian village Petrykiwka, which is located northwest of the city of Dnipropetrovsk.
