Career

Establishment of Pharaoh

Behind the project were the producers Alexander Hawking and Steffen Harning (aka DJ Stevie Steve ). Latter is also present as part of the DJ / producer duo Milk & Sugar in the music scene since 1997. The founding members, who should present the project, the singer Kyra and Deon were Blue (born Marcus Deon Thomas, born January 20, 1971), who was previously Eric P. III member of the group Splash and Pharaoh after the publication of the third single World of Magic left. More unofficial member of the group was Kyra's three -meter-long python Petit, which always belonged to the concept and stage program of Pharaoh. The concept to keep a production duo in the background and to combine a male rapper with a female lead vocal for the chorus for stage performances, is a typical feature of the Euro Dance.

1994-1995, debut album Pharaoh

Its two biggest hits were I Show You Secrets and There Is a Star from the year 1994. 1995 the third single from the album World of Magic was also a remarkable success in the German Media Control Charts.

1997-1998, comeback with The Return and leaving Deon Blue

After a two year break, the two singles Temple of Love and Once Upon a Time was published in 1997. There followed in 1998 the second album The Return. The recordings took place only with Kyra Pharaoh held without rapper Deon Blue, which the group had already left. Although Temple of Love still was able to place in the charts, Pharaoh could not go to the old successes. Steffen Harning then founded together with DJ Michael Kronenberger the DJ / producer project Milk & Sugar.

1998-1999

Officially, Pharaoh never resolved. Today Kyra lives in Munich, working in the event industry and continues to publish music under her stage name Kyra. So it was published in 1999 Indoru - Wunderkind together with Uwe Fahrenkrog- Petersen, who also works for Nena.

Since 2000

After a long musical break Kyra released in 2005 the single Spaceman Came Travelling along with Seven and 2007 Saxophobic Satisfaction with the DJ Yves Murasca. The latter was published with the help of the DJ / producer duo Milk & Sugar.
