PharmaSat

PharmaSat -1 is a developed by Ames Research Center of NASA nanosatellite and a successor to the GeneSat - 1 mission.

He was put into space on 19 May 2009 with a Minotaur 1 rocket from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, together with the satellite TacSat -3, AeroCube -3, HawkSat -I and CP6. About 90 minutes after the start of the first radio contact could be recorded via the S-band communication system. The satellite is to study the behavior of antifungal agents in zero gravity, for which a miniaturized lab on board, which will explore with the aid of optical sensors, the growth of yeast.
