Phil Tippett

Phil Tippett ( born 1951 in Illinois, USA) is an American specialist for Visual Effects in the movie industry, which is particularly known for his work in the Star Wars movies. He is also active as a producer and director.

Tippett was instrumental in the early 1980s in the development of stop-motion and go- motion technique in feature films. Go -motion was first in the films The Dragonslayer and Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back used.
