Philip Deignan
Philip Deignan ( born September 7, 1983 in Letterkenny, County Donegal) is an Irish racing cyclist.
Career
Philip Deignan was founded in 2005 at the former Professional Continental team AG2R Prévoyance professional cyclist. In the very first season, he was able to celebrate his first professional victory. He won the Tour du Doubs -day-races. In the 2006 season he drove for the now ascended into the UCI ProTour team AG2R Prévoyance. With the team he took part in the Vuelta a España in 2007, when he reached the target at various mountain stages in the top twenty riders and subsequently finished in 71st place of the Final Ranking.
2008 Deignan took part in both the Summer Olympics in Beijing and the UCI Road World Championships 2008 for Ireland.
2009 saw the team Deignan and joined Cervélo test team. For his new team, he played the Giro d' Italia in 2009 and the Vuelta a España in 2009. On September 17, he decided in Ávila, the 18th stage of the Tour of Spain for himself, so that he to with just under eleven minutes behind Alejandro Valverde completion of the tour finished ninth overall.
