Philip Francis Murphy

Philip Francis Murphy ( born March 25, 1933, Cumberland, Maryland, USA; † 2 September 1999) was Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore.

Life

Philip Francis Murphy received on 20 December 1958, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On January 11, 1976 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Tacarata and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore. The Archbishop of Baltimore, William Donald Borders, gave him on 29 February of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore, Thomas Austin Murphy, and Archbishop Emeritus of Baltimore, Cardinal Lawrence Shehan.
