Philip J. Klass

Philip Julian Klass ( born November 8, 1919 in Des Moines, † August 9, 2005 in Merritt Iceland ) was an American electrical engineer and journalist. He was one of the most famous UFO skeptics of the U.S. and co-founder of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, then " Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal ".

The person Klass and his publications in the field of UFO research provoked very different reactions. They ranged from "Sherlock Holmes of UFOlogy " to " an obsessed spinner, who has contributed little to the UFO debate except noise, strange rhetoric, pseudo-scientific speculation and character assassination " ( Jerome Clark).
