Philips 68070

Philips Semiconductors (now NXP Semiconductors) was developed based on the Motorola 68000 to SCC68070, the other functions such as DMA controller, MMU, UART, 16-bit timers, and I ² C interface was integrated. There were 16 MiB external memory can be addressed.

Philips SCC68070 been widely used in multi-media systems ( for example, in CD- I) with the SCC66470 as VSC ( video and system controller ) is used.
