In Greek mythology, Phobos (Greek Φόβος, fear) is a son of the war god Ares and the goddess of love Aphrodite. His corresponding Metus Roman mythology.
He and his brother Deimos a companion of Ares.
After them are Deimos and Phobos, the moons of the planet Mars named. (Mars corresponds in Roman mythology the Greek god Ares. )
