Phog Allen

Forrest Clare " Phog " Allen ( born November 18, 1885 in Jamesport, Missouri, † 16 September 1974 in Lawrence, Kansas) was an American basketball coach in college sports. As coach of the Kansas Jayhawks, the team from the University of Kansas, he twice won the NCAA championship. The Basketball Hall of University of Kansas is named after him (Allen Fieldhouse, popularly often just The Phog ).

For his career performance Allen was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1959.
