Phragmoplast

The phragmoplast (from Greek phragm = demarcation and Northern Palace = formers, formers ) or " wall-formers " is the precursor of the cell wall plate in plants. It consists of a complex of microtubules, microfilaments, and endoplasmic reticulum. The emergence usually begins in the center of the former parent cell during telophase of cell division. Filled with cell wall material Golgi vesicles Phragmosomen, hike to the phragmoplast and merge there with him. This results in the cell plate, which now is growing towards the edges of the cell by more Golgi vesicles are attached. The entire process occurs quickly, since the separation of the daughter cells often happens in minutes.

In the naturally occurring various forms of cell division of the phragmoplast is compared with the Phycoplast. Here are microtubules arranged parallel to the pitch axis.
