Physostome

Physostomen is the name for a group of bony fish.

In these, the swim bladder to the intestine is connected, so the embryonic scale connecting passage between the intestine and swim bladder ( ductus pneumaticus ) in the adult ( adult ) condition still exists (as opposed to the Physoclisten ). Is filled swim bladder by swallowing air. The Physostomen include for example the pike, salmon fish, coregonids and Carps
