Piano Sonata No. 2 (Mozart)

The Sonata No. 2 in F major, K. 280 ( 189e ) is a piano sonata by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He wrote in the autumn of 1774 in Munich, where he remained until the following March, due to a production of La finta giardiniera.

The sonata is in three movements, which will be entitled:

The remarkable thing about this sonata are the extreme contrasts in tempo and emotion of each set.

The first set, standing in 3/4-time, begins with a fanfare-like main theme, then passes with a harmoniously for Mozart ratios surprisingly bold Triolenpassage on the second topic on which accelerates the movement to offset sixteenth - garlands. After a comprehensive implementation only 26 cycles followed by the sentence technically enhanced recapitulation.

The theme of the second movement is a Siciliano, a Baroque dance form. The plaintive outer parts surround a central part with chromatic sharpening.

The third set corresponds formally to the scheme of the sonata form. It is in 3/8-time and acts like a tangy, extremely brilliant last dance.
