Pickering (lunar crater)

Pickering is an impact crater on the lunar front southeast of the sine Medii, northeast of the crater Horrocks (crater ) and northwest of Saunder. The crater is bowl-shaped with a flat bottom and hardly eroded.

The crater was founded in 1935, officially named by the IAU by the brothers Edward and Charles William Henry Pickering, both US-based astronomers.
