Pictet (crater)

Pictet is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, south of the Mare Nubium, east of the crater Tycho and west of Saussure. The crater is heavily eroded and overlain by the ejecta of Tycho.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the Swiss scientist Marc -Auguste Pictet.
