Pier Antonio Panzeri

Pier Antonio Panzeri ( born June 6, 1955 in Riviera D' Adda ) is an Italian politician of the Partito Democratico.

Life

Panzeri was 1995-2003 Secretary General of the Milan Chamber of Labour. During this time he also served as the initiator and leader of a humanitarian relief operation for Belém, a city in the Amazon basin, active. He was the patron and organizer of charity events for the civilian victims of war in former Yugoslavia. He also attended the United Nations General Assembly as an observer of the problems between Israel and Palestine. Together with the municipalities of Milan, Barcelona and Frankfurt he worked as part of an international project to compare experiences various topics, including economic development, immigration and the welfare state, as well as the development of a common European model to solve serious problems of the present. From 2003 to 2004 he was responsible for European policy.

2004 Panzeri was chosen for Uniti nell'Ulivo in the European Parliament, the aufgingen the following year in the new party Democrats of the Sinistra, whose board he belonged. 2008, the second fusion to the Partito Democratico, for this he was re- elected in 2009. He is currently Chairman of the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union.
