Pierfrancesco the Younger

Pierfrancesco di Lorenzo de ' Medici the Younger ( * 1487 in Florence, † 1525 in Cafaggiolo ) was the grandson of the elder Pierfrancesco and the son of Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de' Medici ( 1463-1503 ).

He married in 1511 Maria Soderini, the daughter of Tommaso Soderini, with whom he had four children:

  • Lorenzino de ' Medici (1514-1548), the 1537 Alessandro de' Medici murdered;
  • Giuliano de ' Medici (1520-1588), Archbishop of Albi;
  • Laudomia de ' Medici in 1532 ∞ Alamanno Salviati, Filippo Strozzi ∞ 1539 ( 1510-1558 );
  • Maddalena de ' Medici ( † 1583 ) ∞ 1539 Roberto Strozzi.
