Pierre Coffin

Pierre -Louis Padang Coffin (born 1967 ) is a French animator, voice actor and film director

Life

Pierre Coffin was founded in 1967 as the son of a French diplomat Yves Coffin and the Indonesian writer Nh. Dini born.

From 1985 to 1988 he studied film at the Sorbonne in Paris. From 1990 to 1993 he continued his education at the Paris animation school Gobelins, l' Ecole de l' Image continuing.

He then moved to the UK where he worked for Steven Spielberg's animation studio Amblimation. There, he worked on animations for the film Four Dinos in New York. After that, he was involved as a freelancer on various projects and produced, among other computer animations for the National Center for Educational Documentation and French television.

From 1996 he was a senior specialist at the French animation studio Ex Machina, where he produced short films such as Flying Fish Tobby Who Aimed for the Stars and pings (both 1997). With pings his own visual style was first recognized.

He later became head of the animation to the studio and then Wanda Passion Pictures. There he produced numerous commercials and short film series Polar Bears for BBC1. His television series Pat et Stan was presented at the Festival d' Animation Annecy 2009.

2008 hired Chris Meledandri Coffin and Chris Renaud as the animator directors for the film I - Despicable. The film was well received by both critics and the public alike. For her work Coffin and Renaud were nomininiert at the 38th Annie Awards in the category Best Director in an animated film.

When I successor - Despicable Me 2 from the 2013 Coffin and Renaud took over again the government. In both films, Coffin also be heard as a synchronous voice some Minions.
