Pierre Joubert (illustrator)

Pierre Joubert (born 27 June 1910 in Paris, † January 14, 2002 in La Rochelle ) was a French painter and draftsman.

Pierre Joubert has been actively engaged in the Scout Movement since early childhood. Between 1926 and 1960 he worked as an illustrator for Scouts de France employed ( with René Follet ), where he illustrated numerous magazines. After that, he was until 1975 the Belgian publisher Marabout active. There were especially youth and adventure books, like the French edition of Bob Morane- novels, illustrated by him.

Throughout his life so created a variety of drawings, watercolors and paintings. Many of them show scouts motifs, which gave him the name " Scout painter" earned.
