Pierre Levasseur (aircraft builder)

Pierre Levasseur (* July 16, 1890, † 1941) was a French aircraft designer and founder of the company Société Pierre Levasseur Aéronautique, which is mainly produced aircraft for the French Navy between the First and Second World Wars.

The Pl.2 was the first aircraft that was among the equipment of the aircraft carrier Béarn. In 1927, Levasseur developed for Charles Nungesser and François Coli the PL.8, called the white bird, for their Atlantic crossing.
