Pierre Louis Jean Casimir de Blacas

Pierre- Louis Jean Casimir de Blacas d' Aulps, ( born 12 January 1771 at Castle Vérignon at Aulps, Provence, France, † November 17, 1839 in Vienna, Austria ) since 1821 and since 1837 Duke of Aulps Prince of Aulps, French statesman and diplomat; staunch royalist and one of the main advisers and ministers of the Bourbons. From 1829 to 1839, the art collector and numismatist was the first president of the Istituto di corrispondenza archeologica. As Minister of the Court of King Charles X. v. France, he accompanied him into exile in 1830. After his death he was (now Nova Gorica in Slovenia) interred in a niche in front of the Bourbon crypt of the monastery Konstanjevica in Gorizia.
