The University Pierre Mendès-France Grenoble II ( UPMS ) (French Université Pierre Mendès -France de Grenoble II) is a university in Grenoble (France). It is one of three universities that were founded in 1970 in Grenoble, to replace the old one, which was founded in 1339 university. In Grenoble, the University Pierre Mendès -France offers studies in law, economics and social sciences. The university is affiliated with the Institut d' Etudes Politiques of Grenoble. The university also has a branch office in Valence with technical orientation.

The namesake of the university is the former French Prime Minister Pierre Mendès -France ( 1907-1982 ).
