Pieter Boddaert

Pieter Boddaert (* 1730 in Zeeland, The Netherlands, † 1795 or 1796) was a Dutch physiologist, physician, zoologist, ornithologist and naturalist.

In 1771 Boddaert was elected a member of the Scholars Academy Leopoldina. In 1783 published Boddaert an identification key for Louis Jean -Marie Daubenton Planches enluminees in which he provided the plants with scientific names. After 1793, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Utrecht.
