Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck

Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck ( born October 1, 1887 in Breukelen, † April 10, 1954 in Wassenaar ) was a Dutch writer, poet, critic and literary historian.

Pieter van Eyck was born on November 8, 1935 Professor of Dutch Literature and Philosophy at the University of Leiden, where his lectures Dutch literature, history and aesthetic criticism treated. He was married to Nelly Estelle Benjamins (1891-1971); one of her sons is the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck.
