Pine River (Mississippi River)

BW

The Pine River is a right tributary of the upper Mississippi River in northern Minnesota.

The Pine River has its origin in Pine Mountain Lake near Backus. He initially flows east through several smaller lakes - Bowen Lake, Lindsey Lake, Brockway Lake, Lake Hattie and Norway Lake. Then he passed the same place and continues his run away to the east. It is then pumped through the Upper Whitefish Lake, Lower Whitefish Lake, Rush Lake and Cross Lake. It winds its way in a south-southeast direction, and finally hits the upper reaches of the Mississippi River. The Pine River has a length of 91.6 km.
