Pinkus Müller

The private brewery Pinkus Müller is the last of the former over 150 Altbier breweries in Munster.

History

Johannes Müller had 1816 Hildebrandshausen to Münster, where he married Friederika Cramer and built in the cross road a bakery and brewery 10. In 1866 the bakery was closed and put instead a malting plant in operation. The namesake, Carl " Pinkus " Müller was born in 1899. Over time, the beer range was extended more and more.

The brewery only uses ingredients from certified organic cultivation. 20,000 hectoliters of beer are produced per year currently, 80% of which come as bottling in the trade. In the attached restaurant traditional Munster cal food is offered.

The executive secretaries Barbara Müller and Hans Müller was awarded the city of Münster, following a decision of the Council on 17 May 2011 business award 2011.

Trivia

In the song Love City in linden wreath (Melody: You Heidelberg Youth Fountain) sing fraternities an additional verse, which reads:

Who, / never be ' beheld the August / Münster maid, / Who never geklauet the signs Can not Münster. / Who does not know the Stuhlmacher'schen drops / And the Bullenkopp, / | |: And of Pinkus Müller's hops, / Was never in Münster Student:. | |

In the repetition of the last two lines of hops is replaced by the daughter.
