Piraeus Painter

The Piraeus - painter was one of the first Attic black-figure vase painter. He was 630-600 BC active.

The Piraeus - painter was a contemporary of Nessus Painter, at its meaning and artistic class, however, he was not enough zoom. His Namenvase, from which he received his Notnamen, the neck-amphora Athens, National Museum 353, was found in Piraeus. In this vase especially the stylized into a volute and of a snail lip of the lion is shown to be mentioned.
