Pirro Gonzaga

Pirro Gonzaga (* 1505 in Mantua, † January 28, 1529 in Sabbioneta ) was the son of Count Lodovico Gonzaga of Ludovico Gonzaga and since 1528 Cardinal.

His mother was Francesca Fieschi, a daughter of Gian Luigi Lavagna. Pirro was born on September 5, 1527 Bishop of Modena.

Pope Clement VII raised him in the consistory of 21 November 1527, Cardinal Deacon of the titular church of Sant'Agata dei with Goti.
