The Piz Alv (Romansh for white tip ) is a mountain east of Innerferrera in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with a height of 2'854, 5 m above sea level. M.

Location

The Piz Alv belongs to the Piz Grisch group, a subgroup of the above Kamnik Alps. About the Summit, the municipal boundary between Ferrera and Riom- Parsonz runs. The Piz Alv is bordered in the northeast by the Val Schmorras on the south by the Val Starlera and to the northwest by the Alp Mos.

Among the neighboring peaks include the Piz Settember, the Piz Mez, the Piz Guggernüll and the Piz Grisch.

Valley is a Ausserferrera and Innerferrera. Frequent starting point is radon.

About the south ridge

  • Starting point: Innerferrera ( 1,480 m) or Fuorcia because Saletscha ( 2,619 m)

  • Time: 3 ½ hours from Innerferrera, ¾ hours from Fuorcia because Saletscha

  • Starting point: Ausserferrera ( 1,300 m)
  • Route: Via Alp Mos
  • Difficulty: L
  • Time: 4 ¼ hours

Winterrroute

  • Starting point: radon ( 1'866 m)
  • Route: Samnecs, Ava via da Schmorras to Talhintergrund and then towards the Northeast
  • Difficulty: Intermediate skiers
  • Time: 4 hours
