Piz Nair

The Piz Nair (pronounced as " piz När " in the turkey ) is a 3'056 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the canton of Graubünden ( Switzerland ). He is part of the Albula Alps and situated in the Corviglia. He is often referred to as a mountain of St. Moritz. The mountain top is easy to reach from St. Moritz via a funicular railway and a tramway.
At the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz, the Alpine skiing events were held in the Corviglia. The downhill course began on Piz Nair at an altitude of 2700 m and led by Ruinatsch.
The first organized in July 2012 Swiss mountaineering race Irontrail should lead, among other things on the Piz Nair. Since a route change in 2013, the mountain is no longer part of this sporting event.
