Place d'Armes (Luxembourg)

The Place d'Armes ( German: Parade Square) is a central place in Luxembourg (city). They, together with the Knuedler the center of the city. It is part of the pedestrian zone and surrounded by numerous street cafes. In summer concerts take place here regularly.

The Parade, popularly known Plëss was abgefluchtet by Sebastian van Noyen of Utrecht in 1671 and completed by Governor Jean Charles de Landas. The French troops of Louis XIV planted lime trees, paved the square and used it as a parade ground.

At the Place d'Armes is the Palais Cercle Municipal.
